1723 Wood's Hibernia Farthing. Martin 1.1-Bc.1, W-12240. Rarity-5. D: G: REX. AU-58+ (PCGS). 60.0 grains. This is a fully original example, the obverse with swirls of reddish-russet and olive-brown to a base of dominant golden-copper patina. The reverse is predominantly golden-copper with only a few speckles of crimson-russet scattered about. Nicely centered on the planchet with virtually full denticulation around both sides, sharply struck devices and an overall smooth satin texture round out an impressive list of physical attributes for this premium quality example.
