Lot Description

1879-CC Liberty Double Eagle. VF-35 (PCGS). Smooth wear and quite pleasing for the natural golden surfaces and trouble free cheek and neck on Liberty. The usual die lumps (from rust) are present below the 9 and left of the W(ENTY). The mintage of 10,708 pieces is represented by perhaps 400-600 today, although a good portion of those have surface problems, unlike the present offering.
