<strong>Obv:</strong> The portrait of Liberty is the same that the Mint used to strike regular issue Liberty Nickels of 1883 to 1912. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is around the border and the date 1882 is below. <strong>Rev:</strong> A Roman numeral V within a wreath of corn and cotton with the Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM inscribed along the upper border. The denticulation on both sides is relatively fine. A lovely premium Gem Proof specimen with a faint overlay of iridescent gold border toning and slightly cameoed surfaces. Fully struck with an elegant appearance.
