- Lot Description
- 1795 Liberty Cap Cent. S-76B. Rarity-1. Plain Edge. AU-50 (PCGS). CAC. Mostly even light-brown patina greets the viewer from both sides, a few glints of pale-rose tinting confined to the protected areas around the denomination ONE CENT on the reverse. The strike is generally bold, although a few planchet flaws (as made) in isolated peripheral areas explain why a couple of letters in the reverse legend are softly impressed. The only sizeable blemish is an as-struck planchet flaw on the obverse at the front of Liberty's bust. Lightly worn, as befits the AU grade from PCGS.
