Lot Description

This is a lovely, fully original near-Gem with a sharp strike and vivid medium orange-gold color. Remarkably well preserved for a survivor of this otherwise relatively obtainable 1890s half eagle issue from the San Francisco Mint, and worthy of a strong premium, as such.
