- 1837 Seated Liberty Dime. Fortin-101a. Large Date. Repunched Date. MS-66 (NGC). Beautiful satin-to-softly frosted surfaces are brilliant apart from a blush of iridescent toning along the lower-right reverse border. With a full strike and silky-smooth surfaces, this first-year Seated Dime should be of obvious importance to the Gem-quality type collector. The obverse is in an earlier die state of the popular Shattered Obverse variety with a die crack (as struck) already evident from the rim below Liberty's foot.
