1811 Capped Bust Left Half Eagle. BD-1. Rarity-3+. Tall 5. AU-58 (PCGS). Incorrectly attributed on the PCGS insert as an example of the Small 5 <em>Guide Book </em>variety. Frosty and lustrous yellow gold with lively orange highlights, especially on the reverse. Sharply struck from heavily clashed dies. Not heavily marked and a coin that would be a pleasing representative example of the design type in an advanced gold type collection.
