1863-S Liberty Head Quarter Eagle. AU-50 (PCGS). Deeply toned orange surfaces with vivid rose highlights, particularly on the reverse. Boldly, if not sharply defined throughout with traces of original luster here and there around the peripheries. A remarkable second AU offering for this rare and conditionally challenging early San Francisco Mint quarter eagle issue, the typical example of which grades no finer then EF.
