A newcomer to the census for this Overton number as presented in the Spring 2025 revision to Stephen J. Herrman's AMBPR for Bust half dollars. Handsomely toned throughout, dominant pewter gray patina is enhanced by blushes of iridescent steel-olive, pinkish-rose and orange-apricot that are most intense and vivid in the center of the reverse. Well produced for the type with bold to sharp striking detail in all but a few isolated areas. The repunching to the digit 4 in the date that identifies this variety is plainly evident when observed with the aid of a loupe. Die State 109.1.
