1778 Machin's Mills Halfpenny. Vlack 13-78B, W-7840. Rarity-5. GEORGIVS III. VF-25. 108.34 grains. Deep golden-tan surfaces appear fairly hard throughout, with low magnification doing little to change that opinion. Design elements crisp where fully struck. Obverse weak at REX and across the bust, no marks of consequence noted, reverse aligned to 270 degrees, BRIT not struck up, NA weak, all other devices crisp and no marks of any magnitude noted. Choice for the assigned grade. PCGS# 466.
