- BB Die State III. Splashes of reddish-orange and, around the obverse periphery, power blue patina provide an uncommonly vivid appearance for an early U.S. Mint silver dollar. This die marriage is known for softly struck centers, a feature noted here, but also one that is more forgiving here since it mingles nicely with moderate wear from commercial use. The overall design remains bold, and there is plenty of sharper detail within portions of Liberty's hair and the eagle's plumage. A few notable marks at upper reverse are noted for accuracy but, all in all, this is an endearing mid grade type candidate from the brief and challenging Flowing Hair silver dollar series of 1794 to 1795.
