Lot Description

What a wonderful example of a very scarce date from an historical obsolete Mint! This coin is right in the cusp of being a AU55 (NO promises). No question this coin is near GEM AU! Only 20,000 were originally struck. Slightly prooflike mirrors mix with semi satiny surfaces. There are NO major hits and we really do not see many lines. Both sides are an even original deeper gold color. There are NO spots or stains-this is NOT a dirty coin. We can't stress the importance of the fact this is a totally ORIGINAL piece. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is beautiful! PCGS 27, NGC 20, CAC 2. There has never been a PCGS/CAC to sell in auction. The current Collectors Universe value is $4,500. If you collect $10 Libs., then you know this is NOT an easy coin to find (the last example in this grade sold in September 2016!). Good luck. Cert.
