1791 Washington Large Eagle Cent. Baker-15, W-10610. URS-11. Lettered Edge. MS-65 RB (NGC). An impressive condition rarity for the type, this Large Eagle cent is fully Gem in quality with no troublesome abrasions or other blemishes to the surfaces. Considerable pinkish-rose luster remains, and it is most vibrant around the obverse periphery as well as in the center of the reverse. Glossy gray-brown patina elsewhere, with sharp detail throughout from a well centered strike. This popular Washington portrait type shares the same obverse die with the 1791 Liverpool halfpenny. The present example is among the finest certified.
