Tied for FINEST graded. This is a surprising condition rarity! With a mintage of over 8.5 million there are surprisingly few graded Mint State examples. Only a handful of MS66 examples graded. This GEM is untoned, with a brilliant mint luster that rolls vividly on satin smooth surfaces. Completely struck with razor sharp definition, this quarter boasts a "just off the dies" eye appeal and freshness. PCGS 8, NGC 8, CAC 4. Last sold in July 2009, this beauty realized $5,290. The most recent example to sell was the Eliasberg-Gardner coin that realized a very soft $2,350 in June 2016 (after selling in August 2015 for $4,230, and May 2015 for $5,640). The current Collector's Universe value is listed at $3,750 and if you are working on a top ranking set, this coin needs to be seriously considered. A coin like this is valued too cheap today! Cert.
