Lot Description

109.4 grains. Glossy olive brown with good surface quality and handsome eye appeal. Well centered and well struck, with a very well defined portrait on the obverse and most of the date visible on the reverse. A few little vertical striations are noted in the right obverse field, and the planchet is a bit out of round at the bottom of the obverse and top of the reverse. Perhaps retoned, with a little bit of smoothing noted under the bust truncation under a glass. An appealing example of the variety, finer than most seen, with good sharpness and surface quality.
