1908-S Indian Half Eagle. MS-61 (NGC). An attractive, crisply impressed example displaying light golden-wheat color. As the first San Francisco Mint issue in the Indian half eagle series, the 1908-S was saved in significant numbers with the result that Mint State survivors are more available than the mintage of 82,000 pieces might imply.
