Among the FINEST graded examples of this variant, just two coins are graded higher. This is a stunning example, featuring a bold, semi-Prooflike, flashy red luster on the obverse and a beautiful satiny mint frost on the reverse. Sharply struck on both sides, the obverse devices stand out with a nearly cameo like look at certain angles. The vibrance of the surfaces is captivating and gives this SUPERB coin a great look, especially for a Copper-nickel cent, which usually comes with a pale gold, almost washed out look; this one is wonderfully original and naturally toned. What a great looking; it is amazing that there are two graded higher! PCGS 14, NGC 2, CAC 8. There are 4 in MS66+, and two finer. While the most recent sold for $7,200 in October 2019, we sold one in May 2017 for $12,000 hammer. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $11,500 and keep in mind that a 67 will cost $35,000+ today. Good luck! Cert. Number 6573158 PCGS # 2056.00
