Lot Description

1840-O Liberty Seated Quarter. No Drapery. Briggs 2-B. Repunched Date, Mintmark Right. MS-61 (NGC). Satiny silver-gray surfaces are enhanced by crescents of vivid reddish-orange peripheral toning. The appearance is quite smooth for the assigned grade, making this a desirable Mint State type candidate from the No Drapery Liberty Seated quarter series of 1838 to 1840.
