Lot Description

1827 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-125. Rarity-3. Square Base 2. MS-62 (PCGS). Deep rose-gray with steel-blue toning at the borders. Nicely lustrous and quite attractive, the surfaces are well-preserved and show no distracting marks or spots. Some softness of strike is noted in the usual areas -- at the bust and top of the cap, at the reverse detail opposing those areas, and at the stars. Overall excellent quality and eye appeal for the grade thanks to the pleasing luster and handsome toning. Provenance: From the Richard Jewell Collection. PCGS# 39724. NGC ID: 24FN.
