1739-P Half Sou Marque. Dijon Mint. Vlack-309. Rarity-5. EF-40 (PCGS). 14.1 grains. A bit rough, bit not distractingly so, and richly toned in steel-olive and dove-gray over considerable silvering. Peripheries soft in places, more so on the reverse, with sharper detail toward the centers. Provenance: From the Sydney F. Martin Collection.
