Lot Description

Struck from medallic alignment of the dies. Really a lovely piece, original Gem-quality surfaces exhibit blushes of olive-charcoal, cobalt blue and reddish-russet iridescence to a base of antique pewter gray patina. Luster is frosty and smooth, and both sides are expectably smooth for the assigned grade. A great high-quality silver three-cent type candidate from the Civil War era.
