Lot Description

Satin to softly frosted surfaces are hard, tight and free of all but a few wispy handling marks. Scattered spots are also noted, commensurate with the assigned grade, although iridescent toning is minimal and hardly interferes with mint orange color. Definitely a premium quality RB example, as evidenced by the CAC sticker. The copper coinage of 1847 was the first for the Hawaiian Islands and several minor varieties - date styles and berry counts - are known. All are fairly elusive, especially in premium Select Mint State as offered here.
