Lot Description

1855-C Liberty Half Eagle. AU-58 (NGC). Attractive high quality for the date collector with a bold strike on the devices and excellent eye appeal overall. The surfaces have light handling marks that blend well into the devices and fields, with one moderate reeding mark noted above Liberty's mouth which serves to identify this piece. Certainly within the top 100 or so to survive, most of the number tied with the present example and exceeded by a handful of mint state pieces.
