Lot Description

Overton-107. Evenly struck and overall rather well defined, the leftmost (observed) talon lacks just a touch of focus which prevents this from being a fully struck example of a common die-marriage. Many collectors will enjoy the extensive, sweeping luster and sky-blue, crimson-orange and chartreuse-grey album toning and wonder why a higher grade wasn't conferred, but closer examination reveals three consecutive, sharp nicks at the end of the bust that might explain the grade.
