Lot Description

1951 Franklin Half Dollar. MS-67 (NGC). This is a conditionally rare Superb Gem example, and is tied with four others as the finest-graded at NGC (not counting pieces graded as having Full Bell Lines). A considerable degree of mottled patina occurs over each side of this high-grade specimen, mostly in shades of russet and olive-green. Boldly struck with vibrant luster and nearly nonexistent surface marks. Census: 5; none finer. PCGS# 6658. Census: 5; none finer.
