1925 Standing Liberty Quarter. MS-66 (PCGS). OGH--First Generation. Overall sharply defined and just a touch shy of Full Head status, this premium quality Gem also offers satin luster and subtle hints of deep golden toning. Popular for Mint State type purposes, the 1925 is the first issue in the Recessed Date portion of the Standing Liberty quarter series. The Mint introduced this modified design to improve the durability of the date in circulation, its previous raised position on the pedestal had resulted in early wear of the digits.
