Lot Description

The SOLE MS65+ graded by either service, this is a lovely GEM example of the final Seated half dollar emission. A bold satin frost comes from below the original patination. We do note a few tiny marks, but overall this coin boasts a decent eye appeal. PCGS 1, NGC 0. About a dozen and a half examples have graded finer. This coin has not sold in auction before; the last "regular" MS65 graded by PCGS was CAC approved and sold for $3,525 and the last PCGS MS66 was also CAC, selling for $4,935.
