1917-D Walking Liberty Half Dollar. Obverse Mintmark. MS-64+ (NGC). This richly original example half dollar exhibits splashes of charcoal-russet peripheral toning on otherwise deep pearl gray surfaces. It is boldly to sharply struck and has a smooth and lustrous appearance that is not all that far from the full Gem grade level. A premium quality survivor from the low mintage 1917-D Obverse Mintmark half dollar issue, one of just 765,400 coins produced. Provenance: From the Rosie Collection.
