- Lot 309 1839 N-3 R1 Head of 1838 NGC graded MS63 Brown, CAC Approved.Frosty light to medium brown. Essentially flawless but there is a touch of friction on the highest points of the devices and traces of soft dirt in protected areas. A spot of dark toning on the berry over the N in ONE is the best identifying mark. Sharply struck E-MDS. The fields are lustrous and show fine radial die flowlines, but the depression that forms in the field right of star 1 is not present and stars 1-5 show repunching. Our grade is AU55but this cent has mint state eye appeal. The attribution is noted on the NGC label.
