1883 Trade Dollar. Proof-63 Cameo (NGC). Frosted design motifs and reflective fields glow with warm gold and champagne highlights. One of 979 proofs struck during the final collectable year of the series—the 1884 (estimated 10 struck) and 1885 (estimated five struck) rarities were clandestine in nature and didn't become known to the numismatic community until 1908. A sharp and appealing example.
