With 6.25 million Morgan dollars struck at the San Francisco Mint in 1883, it is plausible to think it common in Mint State grades, like those struck in 1879-1882. However, this date is quite challenging at the Choice Mint State level, and rare finer than MS-64, as offered here. Combining vibrant, brilliant and lustrous surfaces and crisply struck devices, this example has a great, near Gem-quality look that will delight any collector.
