Lot Description

1827 Capped Bust Dime. JR-5. Rarity-3. Pointed Top 1 in 10 C. MS-63 (PCGS). An original and aesthetically pleasing Choice Mint State example with rich colorful toning and semi-reflective cartwheel luster on both sides. Slight weakness of strike is noted on the hair curls, right stars, and eagle's neck. Sound surface quality with no consequential marks coming to light even under strong magnification. A highly appealing Capped Bust dime. Provenance: From the Iron Eagle Collection.
