Lot Description

Deep olive-orange with some warm reddish-rose highlights. Plenty of frosty luster is retained in the protected areas, and the overall aesthetic appeal easily matches the assigned grade. A few wispy marks on both side are not unusual for an early U.S. Mint gold coin that acquired 10 points of wear. A fine example of a popular type issue in the challenging Capped Bust Left half eagle series. BD Die State e/b.
