1722 Rosa Americana Penny. Martin 2.19-D.5, W-1268. Rarity-4. UTILE DULCI. VF-25 (PCGS). The scarce and popular variety with the date broadly and clearly doubled. The olive-brown surfaces exhibit some tiny ticks though no marks of any substance are seen. The centering is ideal, and the overall quality is easily equal to the assigned grade. PCGS# 113. Provenance: Purchased from Mike Ringo, January 11, 2002; and also ex: Danforth. Paper envelope with attribution and pedigree notes included.
