1853-N Octagonal $1. BG-531. Rarity-4. Liberty Head. MS-62 (PCGS). Satiny and bright golden-olive surfaces, another high quality product from issuer Antoine Louis Nouizillet. This variety was represented in the treasure of the S.S. Winfield Scott, which went down in 1853, confirming the date on the coin and its intended use as money.
