Die State 101.1. Thick, frosty mint luster glows throughout the fields on this Gem quality Capped Bust half dollar. Nicely defined devices overall, there is some minor softness in the typical areas of the eagle's breast feathers and in the central star radials. Blushes of golden iridescent toning on the obverse and some deeper toning speckles are seen on the reverse, mostly in recesses of the devices. Condition Census quality for the 1834 Overton-101 dies, tied for CC#2 per the listing in the Autumn 2025 revision to Stephen J. Herrman's <em>Auction & Mail Bid Prices Realized for Bust Half Dollars: 1794-1839</em>.
