Lot Description
WOW! This GEM has a GREAT look! We guarantee that you will have a hard time not staring at the superb, original toning that graces both sides, and dances on rich watery mirrors. Violet, blue, and aqua blend with hints of iridescent gold over liquid mercury type mirrors. The strike is bold and sharp with Ms. Liberty and the details fully defined. The eye appeal of this GEM is outstanding, and this coin was definately carefully stored in a manner that it did not obtain any unsightly lines, marks, toning spots or anything else that would negatively affect the eye appeal. Only 600 proofs were struck. PCGS 17, NGC 16, CAC 6. The last one sold three years ago, and it was not CAC approved, realizing nearly $11,000. Only two CAC approved coins have sold in auction, one realizing $16,450 in August 2013 and the other realizing $13,800 in July 2011. With its superb eye appeal, we think those prices might be challenged. PCGS # 7017 Certification Number 32756036 PCGS # 7017
