Lot Description

Tied for second highest graded at PCGS with just a single coin graded higher, this is a magnificent example with a strong frosty luster on both sides and virtually pristine surfaces. A shimmering pearly and iridescent white tone gives way to some light iridescent highlights at the extreme peripheries as the brilliant surfaces are rotated in a light. An exacting blow from the dies sharply impressed every detail onto the planchet, with razor sharp definition on both sides. A sensational coin worthy of inclusion in a fantastic Peace dollar set. The sole coin graded finer does has not been awarded a CAC sticker and is easily a six-figure coin, making the present premium MS-66+/CAC an excellent value.
