Lot Description

1803/2 Capped Bust Right Half Eagle. BD-4. Rarity-4. AU-55 (NGC). Bright yellow gold with olive highlights in the fields and deeper golden highlights on the design high points. Noticeable scratches are seen at the first obverse star, with another scratch from the rim between stars 5 and 6 that meets the back of Liberty's cap, otherwise no marks of importance are seen with the unassisted eye on either side. An appealing coin overall despite a few drawbacks, and one that should be seen to be appreciated.
