Lot Description

1845-O Liberty Head Eagle. VF-35 (PCGS). A handsomely original piece with warm honey-gold shades across each side that deepen at the rims. Scattered bagmarks are visible in the right obverse field beneath a glass, but the surfaces are largely smooth and untroubled to the naked eye. A thin planchet flaw down from star 5 contributes to the undeniable character of this attractive relic from our southernmost mint. PCGS# 8593. NGC ID: 262V.
