1888 Gold Dollar. MS-68 (PCGS). CAC. Tied with four others at most as the finest seen by PCGS of this date and absolutely incredible quality for the connoisseur. Radiant mint luster on both sides with the obverse more brilliant while the reverse shows light copper-gold toning. Fully struck on the devices of Liberty's head and the wreath, although slightly soft on the RT of LIBERTY in the headband as commonly seen on this date and mint. The reverse was rotated about fifteen degrees counter clockwise when struck. A high condition rarity and an impressive offering for the type or date specialist.
