Tompkins Die Stage 3/2. A popular blundered date variety in the Draped Bust half dollar series, represented here by a handsome Choice EF piece with a noteworthy numismatic provenance. Warmly toned sandy-gray surfaces exhibit blushes of deeper steel-olive at the borders. The end of Liberty's bust is blunt, as is the opposing area on the reverse, but the remaining areas are suitably bold for the assigned grade. There are few marks, and none that are readily evident to the unaided eye.
