1834 Capped Bust Dime. JR-6. Rarity-2. Large 4. MS-65 * (NGC). Brilliant apart from subtle iridescent peripheral highlights, this flashy piece allows full appreciation of a semi-prooflike finish that undoubtedly explains the coveted NGC * designation for superior eye appeal. This is certainly a lovely Capped Bust dime irrespective of date or variety, and it is also a no-questions Gem with a razor sharp strike and smooth-looking surfaces. Undoubtedly among the finest extant from the 1834 JR-6 dies, and sure to catch the eye of advanced collectors specializing in this early dime series.
