- A fully CHOICE and Condition Census level O-105a. A fabulous early Capped Bust half dollar, this Rarity-2 die state, identified by the dramatic die cracks that encircle the reverse, is a perfect example for type or date purposes. A glowing, satiny brilliance highlights the centers on both sides, as a blush of color clings to the peripheries. The entire surface is dusted with a soft iridescent powder blue and pewter overtone, giving this coin a totally original look. PCGS 52, NGC 50 (all varieties), CAC 6. PCGS has graded four in MS62+, and the Population figures drop dramatically as the grade goes higher. Only a single non-CAC example in MS62+ ever sold, realizing $4,730 in Sheridan Downey's January 2018 Mail Bid Sale. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $4,500 and it would not shock us if this HIGH END coin brought close to that amount. Good luck. Cert. Number 45245558 PCGS # 6097
