Lot Description

Sitting at the lower end of the Condition Census for this variety, this is a really CHOICE quality Capped Bust half dollar. A great type coin for sure! A lovely dappled, powder blue toning mixes with pale sea-green and hints of peach rose. There is a darker toning spot by the bust line and by star 9 that will serve in the future as pedigree markers. A bold strike is nearly complete with strong design elements seen on both sides. The eye appeal is quite nice. PCGS 10, NGC 3, CAC 1. This is the ONLY MS63+ graded by PCGS and there are just a half dozen finer. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $5,750. A coin worthy of placement in a fantastic set. Cert.
