- Cherri Strand Collection. Taraszka-18. Antique gold color enters into the fields, yielding to glimpses of yellow mint luster in the protected areas next to the lettering and devices, particularly the obverse stars. This results in a pleasing, original presentation with surprisingly wholesome eye appeal for a "small stars obverse" 1799 eagle. The eighth star nearly succumbs to an intriguing die crack that extends from the rim all the way to the back of Liberty's cap, while a smaller crack connects TY in LIBERTY. In addition, a lengthy rim cud occupies the bottom of the obverse. The eye appeal is unimpaired by any significant issues, though the attentive collector may locate a shallow scrape on Liberty's cheek, and a couple of trivial old circulation hairlines. A loupe is necessary to find these defects.
