1853-DERI Octagonal $1. BG-518. Rarity-5. Liberty Head. MS-62 (NGC). Beautiful golden-wheat surfaces with tinges of light honey and olive. Frosty to semi-prooflike in finish, a sharply executed strike enhances the appeal of this above average Uncirculated example. From maker M. Deriberpie, this variety shares its reverse with the firm's BG-517, although it seems to have been struck first despite the later BG number. PCGS# 10495. NGC ID: 2BLG.
