1850 Moffat & Co. $5 Gold. K-7a. Rarity-4. Large Eagle. EF-40 (PCGS). Rich olive-gold patina is evenly distributed over both sides of this lightly worn survivor. We note appreciably bold definition for a circulated example of this type, and no individually mentionable abrasions apart from a thin reverse graze at the letter D in GOLD. A glossy "look" to both sides suggests that this piece may have been used as jewelry at some point in time.
