Lot Description
THE B.S.T. COLLECTION WOW! What a stunning GEM! Brilliant original mint red cartwheel luster sprints across the surfaces on both sides, indeed, this coin is very close to a full RED designation. The central obverse shows some light mellowing, showing a band of iridescent violet. A tiny fleck or two can be seen with effort, but none are singularly distracting. The devices are boldly struck, with each and every detail crisply defined and the eye appeal is truly SUPERB in every way! Two die pairs were used to strike the 1835 half cent mintage. This is C-1, B-1, identified by the far spacing of the first S in STATES. PCGS 33, NGC 23, CAC 21. There are five in MS65+ RB. The most recent MS65+ RB sold in our July 2022 Regency Auction for $6,169. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $8,000. Just a single MS66 RB is graded higher at PCGS, making this one of the FINEST available to the early copper collector. Do not let this opportunity pass you by. Cert. Number 25399886 PCGS # 1169
