Lot Description

1911-D Barber Half Dollar. MS-61 (NGC). Brilliant and otherwise satiny in finish, modest semi prooflike tendencies are discernible in the fields, especially on the obverse. Sharply struck, and free of individually mentionable abrasions save for a couple of minor reeding marks behind Liberty's eye. Desirable BU quality for the Mint State type collector, especially given the conditionally challenging nature of the Barber half dollar series as a whole.
